Smart Memory Guardian does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data. It does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, tracking technologies, or third-party data processors.

Smart Memory Guardian Privacy
Smart Memory Guardian keeps diagnostics local to your Mac.
This policy applies only to Smart Memory Guardian. The app is a macOS menu bar utility that monitors local memory pressure signals, calculates a risk score, and shows local recommendations.
Local diagnostics
The app reads local system metrics including memory usage, swap usage, page-out activity, CPU usage, disk I/O counters, and the names and memory footprints of running processes. These values are used only on the device to calculate risk scores and display recommendations.
Permissions
- Notification permission is requested only to deliver memory-pressure alerts.
- The app does not request Full Disk Access, Accessibility access, Contacts, Location, Camera, or Microphone access.
- The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox.
Local storage
Settings and alert-quality counters are stored locally in the app sandbox using macOS preferences. This data remains on your Mac until the app or its container data is removed.
Process safety
Smart Memory Guardian does not automatically terminate applications or background processes. It provides warnings and recommendations so the user can decide what action to take.
Policy updates
This policy may be updated when the app changes. The effective date below will be updated when material changes are made.
