Privacy Policy for LyricsOnTop.

This policy applies to LyricsOnTop by Zerone Apps. LyricsOnTop displays synced song lyrics over player applications using local services and translations.

Data We Collect

  • No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, emails, phone numbers, or locations.
  • No Accounts Required: You can use all core features without registering or linking any external credentials.
  • Local Usage Data: Search history and downloaded lyrics remain cached exclusively on your local device's database.

How Data Is Used

  • Notification Listener: Detects song metadata (title, artist) locally to search for and synchronize lyrics. We do not store or transmit listening history.
  • Local SQLite Database: Caches downloaded lyrics locally on your device to support offline usage. You can clear this cache at any time in the app settings.
  • Real-time Translations: Managed entirely on-device using Google ML Kit. No lyric texts or translation queries are transmitted.

Sharing

  • We do not sell your personal data.
  • We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs, analytic trackers, or data broker services in the app.
  • Google Play Billing: Safe, secure PRO upgrade payments are handled exclusively by the Google Play Store billing platform.

Permissions

  • Notification Access: Required to recognize active song details playing in external players.
  • System Overlay (Draw Over Other Apps): Required to display the floating lyrics widget.
  • Internet: Used to download matching lyrics from public API providers. No device metadata is attached to these requests.

Children and Families

LyricsOnTop is designed for a general audience. We do not collect personal data from children or any other users. Parents or guardians may contact us with any privacy questions or requests.
