CPU Temp Privacy

CPU Temp keeps monitoring data local to your Mac.

This policy applies only to CPU Temp. CPU Temp is a menu bar app for local thermal monitoring, optional alerts, and local history views.

What CPU Temp does

CPU Temp reads hardware and system thermal signals available on your Mac to display temperature and thermal state in the menu bar. Optional notifications are generated on-device when thresholds are reached.

What we do not collect

  • No account registration data
  • No user identity profile data
  • No ad identifiers or advertising profiles
  • No remote upload of sensor history from CPU Temp

Local data and settings

Preferences

CPU Temp stores local settings such as preferred temperature unit, menu bar style, refresh interval, launch-at-login preference, and alert threshold.

History and analytics view

If history features are used, data points are stored on your Mac to render local charts and trends in the app.

Notifications

Notification delivery uses the macOS notification system locally. CPU Temp does not send push notifications from a remote server.

Third-party services

CPU Temp does not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app. If a future version introduces external services, this policy will be updated before release.
